Mailchimp Integration

Expand your email marketing reach by seamlessly integrating Poper's popup builder with Mailchimp, a user-friendly email marketing platform. This guide will walk you through connecting Poper and Mailchimp, ensuring leads captured through your popups are effortlessly added to your chosen Mailchimp lists.

Prerequisites

  • A Poper account with an active popup campaign.
  • A Mailchimp account.
  • An API key for your Mailchimp account. (You can generate a new API key by navigating to your Profile > Extra > API Keys within your Mailchimp account and clicking "Create a Key".)

Setting Up the Poper and Mailchimp Integration

Access Your Poper Popup:

Log in to your Poper dashboard and navigate to the specific popup you want to integrate with Mailchimp.

Open the Integrations Tab:

On the left side of the popup editor, locate the "Integrations" tab and click on it.

Select Mailchimp Integration:

From the list of available integrations, choose "Mailchimp."

Name Your Connection:

Provide a clear name for your Mailchimp connection (e.g., Mailchimp Leads). This will help you identify it later.

Enter Your Mailchimp API Key:

In the designated field, paste your Mailchimp API key that you obtained from your account settings.

Click "Next." Once you've entered your API key, click the "Next" button to proceed.

Select Mailchimp List:

Mailchimp will load all the lists (audiences) present in your account. Choose the specific list where you want to add subscribers captured through your Poper popup.

Add Tags

Add tags to your contacts if you want.

Map Poper Fields to Mailchimp:

This step allows you to match the data fields collected in your Poper popup form with the corresponding fields in your Mailchimp list. Use the dropdown menus to map each Poper field (e.g., email, name) to the appropriate Mailchimp field.

(Optional) Add Custom Fields:

If your Mailchimp list has custom fields, you can utilize this section to define how Poper should populate those fields with data captured in your popup form.

Click "Connect." After completing the field mapping (and any custom field definitions), click the "Connect" button to establish the integration between Poper and Mailchimp.

Test the Integration

To verify the functionality of the integration, submit a sample lead from your popup. This will send a sample request to Mailchimp, simulating a subscriber signup. Check your Mailchimp account to confirm that the test subscriber was successfully added to the chosen list.

Congratulations! With the Poper and Mailchimp integration successfully set up, leads who submit their information through your Poper popup will be automatically added to your designated Mailchimp list. This allows you to nurture them with targeted email marketing campaigns and seamlessly grow your audience.
