Poper allows you to pre-populate input fields within your popups, providing a more personalized and convenient user experience. This guide will walk you through the process of setting up pre-filled input fields.
Log in to your Poper dashboard and open the specific popup you want to modify.
Identify the input field within your popup that you want to pre-fill. This could be a text input, email input, or any other type of input field.
Open Element Settings:
In the right-hand side settings panel for the selected input field, look for the "Prefill" option. This option should be a toggle switch or a checkbox.
Enable Prefilling:
Toggle the "Prefill" option to the "on" position. This will activate the pre-filling functionality for the input field.
Choose Prefill Method:
Once you've enabled pre-filling, you'll see additional options related to the prefill method. Poper offers three methods:
- Static Value: Use a fixed value that you want to pre-populate in the input field. Enter the desired value in the provided text field.
- URL Parameter: Extract a value from the URL parameters of the current page. Enter the name of the URL parameter you want to use (e.g., "utm_source").
- System Fields: Use system-provided information about the user's device or location. Select the desired system field from the available options (e.g., user's operating system, browser, IP address, or location).
Save and Test:
After configuring the prefill method and entering the necessary values, click the "Save" or "Update" button to apply the changes to your popup.
Test the popup to ensure the input field is pre-filled correctly based on the chosen method.
