This guide will show you how to install Poper on your Squarespace website, allowing you to create lead-capturing popups that enhance your marketing efforts.
Prerequisites:
- A Poper account (free plan available)
- A Squarespace website
Steps:
Create a New Website in Poper:
Visit the Poper website and navigate to the "Website" section (globe icon). Click on "New Website" and enter your Squarespace website's domain name.
Access Poper Dashboard:
Ensure you're on the correct domain within your Poper dashboard. This guarantees you're working with the settings specific to your Squarespace website.
Get the Embed Code:
Locate the "Code" icon in the left-hand navigation bar of your Poper dashboard. Click on the icon to access the embed code for your popups.
Copy the Embed Code:
Click the "Copy" button to copy the embed code to your clipboard. You'll need this code to integrate Poper with your Squarespace website.
Open Squarespace and Select Your Site:
Log in to your Squarespace dashboard and select the specific Squarespace website where you want to add the popups.
Access Code Injection:
Navigate to Pages > Website Tools > Code Injection. The Code Injection area allows you to add custom code to your Squarespace website.
Paste the Embed Code:
Paste the embed code you copied from Poper into the HEADER section of the Code Injection area. Ensure you're pasting the code in the correct section.
Save the Changes:
Click the "Save" button to save your changes. This will integrate the Poper code with your Squarespace website.
Verify Your Domain (Optional):
Click on "Verify Domain" at the top of the Poper dashboard if you haven't already. Poper might guide you through a verification process, which may involve adding a code snippet to your Squarespace settings. Once verified, you'll receive a success message (Note: Domain verification might not be mandatory for all Squarespace websites).
Test Your Popups (Optional):
Once you've saved the changes, go back to your Squarespace dashboard and click on the website link to open your live website in a new window. If you haven't created any popups yet, you won't see them at this stage.
Congratulations! You've successfully installed Poper on your Squarespace website. Now you can head back to your Poper dashboard to design attractive popups, tailor their content, and set targeting rules to capture leads and drive conversions.
