What are system fields in integration field mapping?

When integrating Poper with external services, you may need to map various fields to ensure that the data collected through your popups is correctly sent to and processed by these services. Among these fields, some are known as system fields. These fields contain essential visitor information automatically captured when a response is received.

What are System Fields?

System fields are predefined fields that collect and store visitor details such as IP address, location, and browser information. These fields are crucial for understanding the context of the visitor's interaction with your popup and can be used for advanced data analysis and targeting.

Identifying System Fields


In the integration field mapping interface, system fields are prefixed with "System:" to distinguish them from custom or popup-specific fields. This helps you easily identify which fields are automatically populated by the system.

List of Available System Fields

Here are the available system fields you can map in your integrations:
  1. page: The page pathname where the popup was displayed.
  2. referrer: The URL of the referring page that led the visitor to the current page.
  3. language: The language settings of the visitor's browser.
  4. os: The operating system used by the visitor.
  5. browser: The browser used by the visitor.
  6. ip: The IP address of the visitor.
  7. city: The city from which the visitor is accessing your site.
  8. country: The country from which the visitor is accessing your site.
  9. continent: The continent from which the visitor is accessing your site.
  10. latitude: The geographical latitude of the visitor.
  11. longitude: The geographical longitude of the visitor.
  12. postal_code: The postal code associated with the visitor's location.
  13. region: The region or state from which the visitor is accessing your site.
  14. region_code: The code representing the visitor's region.
  15. utm_source: The source of the UTM campaign that brought the visitor.
  16. utm_medium: The medium of the UTM campaign that brought the visitor.
  17. utm_campaign: The campaign name of the UTM campaign that brought the visitor.
  18. utm_term: The search term associated with the UTM campaign that brought the visitor.

How to Map System Fields

Open the Integration Settings:


Navigate to the integration settings of the popup you want to configure.
Look for fields with the "System:" prefix in the mapping interface.

Map Fields:


Map each field in the external service to corresponding required system field. For example, map "System: IP" to the appropriate field in your CRM or email marketing platform.

Save and Test:


Save the mapping configuration and test the integration to ensure that the data is correctly transmitted.

The system fields are also visible on Leads tab of your Poper Dashboard.
