This guide will show you how to install Poper on your WordPress website, allowing you to create lead-capturing popups that enhance your marketing efforts.

Prerequisites:

  • A Poper account (free plan available)
  • A WordPress website

Steps:

Create a New Website in Poper:

Visit the Poper website and navigate to the "Website" section (globe icon). Click on "New Website" and enter your WordPress website's domain name.

Access Poper Dashboard:

Ensure you're on the correct domain within your Poper dashboard. This guarantees you're working with the settings specific to your OpenCart store.

Install the Poper WordPress Plugin:

Log in to your WordPress dashboard and navigate to Plugins > Add New Plugin.

Search and Install Poper:

In the search bar, type "Poper" and press Enter. Locate the Poper plugin by Latracal and Click "Install Now".

Activate Poper:

Click "Activate" once the installation is complete.

Connect Your Poper Account:

After activation, Poper will be displayed on the Dashboard, Click on it. You'll be prompted to enter the email address associated with your Poper account. Enter your email address and click "Save Account Email" to connect your accounts.

Verify Installation:

Go back to your Poper dashboard and click on the "Code" icon in the left-hand navigation bar. Then, click on "WordPress." You'll see a "Verify Installation" button. Click on it to verify the connection between Poper and your WordPress site. A success message will be displayed if the verification is successful.

Get the Embed Code (Optional):

If you didn't verify the installation, you can still get the embed code. Within the "WordPress" section of the Poper code menu, you'll find the embed code needed to display your popups on your website.

Important Note: While verification simplifies the process, you can still get the embed code manually.

Test Your Popups (Optional):

Go back to your WordPress dashboard and navigate to My Blog and click on "Visit Site" to open your website in a new window. If you haven't created any popups yet, you won't see them at this stage.

Congratulations! You've successfully installed Poper on your WordPress website. Now you can head back to your Poper dashboard to create engaging popups, customize their appearance, and set targeting rules to capture leads and boost your conversions.
